If you have more than 15 pounds to lose this is a must read. If you have less than 15 pounds to lose this is a must MUST read!
I published HCG 2.0 in 2013. I've been a student of nutrition since my mother was feeding me homemade baby food in my high chair.
Following my book's publication, I've done my diet every January - for me it is more of a detox than a weight loss plan, but I will take the lower number on the scale!
Why No HCG Diet for Me in January?
First off, if you have more than 15 pounds to lose, HCG is the best option for you. That amount of weight loss requires behavior modification and caloric restrictions. That's when the full HCG 2.0 Protocol (in addition to your HCG Supplement) is absolutely required.
I generally eat a fairly balanced diet. That said, I might have over-indulged a bit over the holidays - put on about 10 pounds. Do I feel guilty about it? NO! Not at all.
Why? Because holidays are for celebrating. AND I know how to reel it in. I typically start the New Year with a short round of my HCG 2.0 diet, but this year I'm going to give CURB a try.
Curb works by naturally restricting your appetite and providing a clean boost of energy. It contains a proprietary blend of ingredients including Green Tea extract, African mango, Vitamin B and C, Selenium and other organic ingredients that your body recognizes and responds to. The pure ingredients inhibit the body''s ability to convert excess carbs into stored fat. The combo of decreased appetite and more efficient fat burning promotes weight loss while also using stored fat as an energy source.
Typically, my patients use Curb as a supplement to their maintenance protocol P3 after completing the HCG diet. However, as of recently, the Curb patch has become quite popular as a stand alone resource (See Lisa's post above from our private Facebook group) for anyone looking to slim down and lose those last 10-15 pounds. Or, especially at this time of year, reverse the inevitable creeping pounds that surface after the holidays or and indulgent vacation. Want to fit into something for an upcoming event or jump start your New Years resolutions with some encouraging results? Curb is a great option for you.
Curb may not the right option for you to lead off your 2025 weight loss plan, but it's something to keep in mind when you wind down your HCG 2.0 in late January or February. Curb is a natural energy booster and appetite suppressant that will help you transition back into a more regular diet which makes it the perfect supplement for your maintenance phase.
And listen, if Curb isn't right for you this year, maybe it will be next year.
Lastly, I want to take this opportunity to say it's ok if it's not an option this year. You're not the only one that has done HCG 2.0 once or twice this year. If you want to label yourself a yo-yo dieter, that's fine, but remember this...
Yo-Yo Dieting and What You're Doing RIGHT!!
I've been saying this for years - Some of the best athletes in the world are "yo-yo" dieters. The term yo-yo diet has wrongfully and shamefully assumed a very negative connotation. When in actuality, if you place yourself in the "yo-yo dieter" category, here is what you are doing right....
You're self-aware. That's critical because you CANNOT fix a problem if you are not capable of recognizing it.
You've taken the initiative to fix it. So you're now aware AND you have the ambition to fix it.
You have a plan that works - HCG 2.0! Would you rather NOT fix the problem 1-2 times per year, or would you prefer to continue to gain weight? If you've typically done the diet 1-2 times per year, narrow it down to once in 2025. You can do that by re-reading HCG 2.0 and becoming more aware of some of the unnoticed habits in your diet that lead to unnecessary weight gain. Recognizing just one of these habits can save you 100 calories per day. That's 700 calories per week.
