A weight loss challenge utilizing my HCG 2.0 protocol is something that’s been in the works for a long time. I discussed the subject with Judi and Kylene last year over the holidays but it never materialized. Of course I take full responsibility for missing the opportunity last year, which is why I was determined to get it done this year. And, we’re gonna do it right.

If you can eliminate the high calorie junk in your diet that provides literally ZERO nutrition, you’ll no longer crave it. In the same breath, the more you expose yourself to healthy whole foods, the more you’ll develop a taste for them. You can’t count calories and carbs forever. I can sit down at dinner and eat until I’m completely full because I’m eating the right stuff – a lean protein, vegetables and a salad with the dressing of my choice. I like eating this way and you can too. Now, my beers are another story. This is where I have to make my sacrifices, but it’s all part of it. You can’t go about life depriving you
I want you to understand that success is more than just a number on the scale. This isn’t merely about aesthetics or fitting into your old jeans. It’s about your health and longevity. It’s about getting the ball moving in the right direction. It’s about making a statement to your family; losing weight tells them that you care. Weight loss will certainly increase the quantity of your life, but more importantly, it will improve the quality of your life. I’m telling you, if you continue to operate at a weight 30 pounds over the ideal, you absolutely will need a knee replacement, likely both. Let all of these factors motivate you, not just the aesthetics. And if you’re one of those people that say, “Well I’m happy, so why do I need to lose weight,” you better rethink that. The reason you’re happy is because of your family, so don’t you think you owe it to them?
Finally, I want to make this fun. Life is way too serious to be taken seriously so let’s have some fun with this. If you screw up and have a bad day, laugh it off and pick up where you left off. No lip dragging or kicking cans. You’re not allowed to quit which means there is not failing. There are varying degrees of success, but there is no failing, so don’t even think about it.

Daily meal planning. One of the few criticisms to my book is that it doesn’t contain enough meal plans. In my defense, this was intentional. I didn’t want to hand you a menu and say eat this for 40 days because you don’t learn anything that way. I wanted to teach you HOW to eat, not merely what to eat.
