Is the HCG diet, also know as the Pregnancy Hormone Diet, okay for men?
First for Women Magazine Cover of Dr. Oz
That’s a fairly common questions and the simple answer is yes. Men generally have more success on the HCG diet than women, with little or no side-effects. The thing to remember is that when a women becomes pregnant, she begins to produce the HCG hormone in quantities of up to 1 million units per day. Typical dosages of the HCG supplement for dieting is less than 200 units per day. That is less than .0002% of the HCG that a pregnant woman produces on a daily basis. However, even in such low doses, the effects of HCG are quite amazing. Men typically lose 1 to 2 pounds per day while women lose a half to a full pound per day.
Dr. Oz recently endorsed the HCG diet in First for Women Magazine.
