Dr. Zach LaBoube
Dr. Zach LaBoube, founder of InsideOut Wellness and Weight Loss will be a guest of radio host Marcus Edwards of Spotlite Radio this Thursday, July 25, at 11am CST to discuss his new book HCG 2.0 – Don’t Starve, Eat Smart and Lose.
In its 70 year existence, the HCG diet has helped millions achieve rapid weight loss. However, in that time, the diet has not once been updated to incorporate advanced research in low-carb/ketosis dieting, caloric ratios or even basic food chemistry. HCG 2.0 is a smarter way to lose and has revolutionized the traditional diet to accommodate the average working adult.
Marcus and Dr. Zach will be comparing and contrasting the two diets to illustrate how basic food chemistry, which was primitive at best when the diet was originally developed, is used to increase portion size of foods that are rich in protein but void of empty calories that only contribute to weight gain. Additionally, the HCG 2.0 diet uses a Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) calculation to determine the amount of protein calories you’re allowed to consume on the diet. This is individualized approach is a significant variation from the traditional diet that allows each dieter only 500 calories per day, whether male or female, big or small.
Medicine is called a practice for a reason. As new technology and research becomes available, treatment protocols evolve, hopefully for the better. Shouldn’t the HCG diet be the same?
